Watcher (Arjan van Vliet) has been a household name in Dutch drum and bass since 2006. Turning heads with his signature brand of deep, tight and rolling drum 'n bass sets, he established himself as a sought-after opening DJ and was nomineed for a Dutch drum and bass Award in 2007. Watcher joined jungletrain.net shortly afterwards, initially co-hosting Cerberus' Sub Woofing show. After taking a break from all things drum 'n bass in 2009, he returned to the station in late 2012 to host Fifth Freedom, his own biweekly show. Today, Watcher is a seasoned and allround DJ, known to effortlessly shift moods, styles and energy levels both on the dancefloor and on the airwaves.
This promomix features mostly recently released music, covering a range of contemporary styles as played on the show. From Thing's dark and brooding minimalism to Alix Perez' soulful liquid funk and the high-octance dancefloor productions of BTK and Prolix. Enjoy!
