jungletrain.net is proud to present: Al-Wah - jungletrain.net promomix march 2018
Hailing from East Kent, UK, Al-Wah got into the music through tapes of pirate stations, raves like World Dance, The Edge, Amnesia House and local events such as Seduction in Margrate or Reincarnation in Herne Bay. Then, on his 19th birthday in 1994, he started DJing on a pair of belt drives and a low budget, practising relentlessly for hours until he thought his skills merited a pair of Technics. After that, the rest is history. Over the years Al-Wah moved on from his jump up and ragga jungle roots, eventually losing himself in the darkside sounds coming around in the late 90s. Although the pull of the dark side is strong for Al-Wah, he's come to appreciate the plethora of styles drum and bass offers and tries to reflect that in his Jungletrain shows. Presenting his first jungletrain.net promomix, Al-Wah, veteran of many years now, has brought to bear a deep selection of tribal beats and breaks which will make put this mix on repeat! He writes: "I really love playing on JT, the station has given me a platform to get my music out there for so long now. Playing on a station of humble greats, giving me oppurtunity to support great music". The pleasure is ours, Al-Wah!
