Goreteks - promomix april 2018
posted by arnie is proud to present: Goreteks - promomix april 2018

Touching down from Denver CO USA, Goreteks are Tracy Strode and Tyler Schroder. Inspired by the likes of Tech Itch, Decoder and Dom & Roland, these two have been DJing the darkest jungle they can procure, at raves and clubs across the US for 20 years, and producing for the last 10, with releases spanning many labels, including Architecture, 117, Plush, Omni, and more forthcoming. Both are also involved in Recon DnB, a forward-thinking underground promotion company that brings international jungle/dnb/juke talent to Denver on a monthly basis.

Goreteks have been playing on Jungletrain for close to 10 years! After meeting fellow 'trainer' Darkstar at a software... more

DJ Ornsman :: "Late Night Jazz DnB Sessions" :: Friday night @ midnight BST

Jungletrain is proud to welcome aboard DJ Ornsman from London, UK

Known for being a scholar of the scene, DJ Ornsman aka Ornette Wilson decided to offer himself for a regular show on Jungletrain after providing cover for Dev/Null & Tim Reaper's "Blog to the Oldskool" show on a few occasions.

Drawn initially to hip hop in the mid 80s - enthralled by the big drum machine beats of the time, he soon found himself amazed as the music rapidly transformed into a sample based, break-beat driven form. Later, seeing many of those same things that appealled to him within the early rave scene, DJ Ornsman began exclusively collecting hardcore... more

Al-Wah - promomix march 2018
posted by arnie is proud to present: Al-Wah - promomix march 2018

Hailing from East Kent, UK, Al-Wah got into the music through tapes of pirate stations, raves like World Dance, The Edge, Amnesia House and local events such as Seduction in Margrate or Reincarnation in Herne Bay. Then, on his 19th birthday in 1994, he started DJing on a pair of belt drives and a low budget, practising relentlessly for hours until he thought his skills merited a pair of Technics. After that, the rest is history.

Over the years Al-Wah moved on from his jump up and ragga jungle roots, eventually losing himself in the darkside sounds coming around in the late 90s. Although the pull of the dark side is strong for Al-Wah, he's come to appreciate... more

Y2 - promomix february 2018
posted by arnie is proud to present: Y2 - promomix february 2018

For the second installment of 2018 of the promomix, Y2 takes to the stage for the third time during his tenure as JT DJ, bringing us an 80-minute monster of a mix, presenting some of the latest and greatest drum and bass on display.

Y2 being the prime representative for Danger Chamber Digital, this mix obviously heavily features recent and upcoming releases on the imprint. However, it's hard to ignore the rest of the tracklisting, curated from Samurai Music, Urban Poetry, Repertoire, Holotype Audio, martianMan, Skeleton and Ako Beatz, progressing smoothly and quickly from dark, brooding, militant and ambient dub sounds into a relentless exploration... more

Darkpsyde - promomix january 2018
posted by arnie is proud to present: Darkpsyde - promomix january 2018

A new year and new mix from the one and only Darkpsyde. This January marks 5 years of Transcendent Tuesdays and to mark the occasion, he has brought us some broken beat funk as only he can. Like you might expect, this mix will take you on a journey through drum and bass. Starting off hard and nasty, softening out with some rollers, dropping you deep into thought, then utterly destroying it with two fiery 6Blocc tunes.

This mix is super heavy on Bandcamp found gems, staying away from the more popular end of things, taking it back to some ragga style roots. Crank it up loud and get ready to move!

Enjoy the mix, and don't forget to catch Darkpsyde's... more

Djinn :: "Formless" :: Even Thursdays @ 22:30 - 00:00 CEST

Manchester DJ & producer Djinn (pronounced ' jinn ') has been a regular on the UK & North West underground scene since 2004.

Dropping sets at illegal raves and club nights since the early age of 17, Djinn’s evolving style spans a 13 year journey starting in breakbeats; first crossing to 2000 dnb before reverting to 90’s jungle & oldskool hardcore, later transitioning early dubstep years through to a mixture aggressive & sparse 140 before reaching a current-day heavyweight precision of brooding minimal drum & bass, deep rolling beats & dark menacing amenism.

Over the years Djinn has dropped her distinctive selection at countless events across... more
